The Digital Business Phone [Alpha] Series was a full-digital business phone system, resulting in a small, light-weight main unit. This series provided a substantial collection of basic functions focusing on ease of use. They include abbreviated dialing for up to 300 numbers per system, on-hook dialing which allowed the user to dial with the handset left on the cradle, and terminal portability which, after moving a telephone set, eliminated the need for updating data such as extension numbers. The Digital Business Phone [Alpha] Series was also rich in optional functions such as a display showing an approximate call charge and a call duration. In this way, this series was designed based on the concepts of long-lasting workability and economy.
