NTT's existing video relay service answers the call to higher quality and greater diversity as on February 1 1994 an HDTV video signal relay service begins handling the 'Hi-Vision' HDTV signal. This service includes relay of the HDTV color video signal (60Hz - 30MHz) as well as the accompanying audio signal (20Hz - 20KHz) over one video channel and four stereo audio channels simultaneously.
