Collaborative engineering between the designer and the construction engineer by high-speed transmission of three-dimensional CAD data and VTR and CG image data, neither of which is available with conventional lines, to examine the practicality of advanced communication.- Uses a high-speed communication lines between the head office and the Kashiwazaki construction site to test real-time collaborative engineering between the designer and the construction engineer based on three-dimensional CAD data and VTR and CG image data transmitted at high speed by CAD software and bidirectional audio/video communication.
