The multimedia service will be started to improve CS (customer satisfaction) using multimedia and to examine development to new business. This experimental service networks major stations to provide the railway customers with various multimedia services including a information service to verify their effects for practical use.
The large displays in four stations, Shinagawa, Yokohama, Kami-ooka, and Yokosuka-chuo, provide a variety of video information including multimedia information. The multimedia terminals provide interactive information services as requested by customer operation.
Services being examined to be introduced are available by direct remote control of the On-train large display and Information Display System for providing information for boarded customers.
