The multimedia auto-tracking service is being tested for use as a virtual LAN, which looks as if one LAN were made up of more. This service can be used at exhibitions. As visitors move from one exhibition corner to another, work station (WS) displays in each corner are connected automatically with each expert's computer (by changing the virtual path of the LAN). Thus, Visitors can receive precise explanations by using multimedia information from each expert through the WSs. The WSs also have function as a TV phone. This service is called multimedia auto-tracking service because it works as if experts automatically track the visitors as they move from one area to another.
We are also testing a security service based on the wireless IC card. By installing an antenna at the entrance of important rooms, the intelligent network can open or close the door of the room depending on whether the permits him to enter the room.
