with IC-card |
In the call-forwarding service with IC card, a network detects personal information from the IC card by wireless or inserting the IC card in the terminal, and manages the user's personal location information. The intelligent network equipment always manages a pair of the latest user's personal and location information. The intelligent network equipment transmits the user's call to nearby telephones based on the user's location information. Thus the user can receive calls anywhere without having to rely on other call-forwarding procedures. We are also testing an enhanced IC card which includes a pager function. The pager function enables users to determine whether calls are for him or for someone else in the room. If the user cannot receive the call, he can send simple message such as "I will call you back."
