Electrical Signal Conversion (Text and Graphics)

The facsimile uses light to read characters and graphics on a document, and converts them into electrical signals which are sent to a receiving device. At the receiving end, heat or static electricity is used to write the electrical signals onto paper in the form of the original text or graphics.
