It is 1970 (Showa 45), and the World's Fair Exposition opens in the Senri district of Osaka, with its theme "Human Progress and Harmony." In 183 days the fair attracts 64,218,770 visitors, equivalent to half of the population of Japan at the time. The Electronic Communications Pavilion features wireless telephones and color TV phones. The exhibit is tremendously popular.
