In 1936 (Showa 11), the victory of Japan's Maehata Hideko in the 200-meter breastroke reaches Japan through a famous radio relay broadcast as the announcer, named Kasai, shouts "Come on, Maehata!" A photograph transmitted by radio telegraph appears in newspapers the next morning. Both events impressively demonstrate the advancement of international wireless communications.
