A full line of Home Telephone VX was released to meet various needs of users. It included: the R type which allowed up to six units to be connected using a single line and two door phones to be connected, having the main unit as the conventional model and standard with an automatic answering feature; the S type which allowed up to eight units using a single line and three door phones to be connected; and the D type which allows up to eight units using two lines and three door phones to be connected. The Home Telephone VX had a dot-matrix display for viewing comfort. The entire system was enhanced so that up to four cordless telephones could be connected. The Home Telephone VX could be connected with conventional optional units provided for the Howdy Home Telephones SXII and DXII.
