Telegram service customers have complained that its hiragana (syllabic) script is hard to read and doesn't convey much feeling. Strong demands for the use of Japanese kanji characters lead to the inauguration of kanji in telegram service on Fubruary 1, 1994. This elective service is offered as a supplement to existing telegram service and allows the use of kanji in the addressee's name and address as well as the message text. Additional improvements include extension of advance sending time, and a brush-writing printing style. | ||
