NTT already has a strong ongoing involvement with General Magic Co. (U.S.) in relation to General Magic's telescript technology as well as home information electronics. In 1994, agreement is reached on participation in a venture with technical tie-ups including acquisition of licensing rights. As the Multimedia Era approaches, NTT will consider the development of services using General Magic's technology in this, its first venture with a foreign developer and supplier software for multimedia services.
