On November 27, 1986, users with predetermined identification numbers and password numbers are able to contact specific parties with a new recorded message service. Callers with push-button phones contact the NTT message dialing center to record the message they wish to send. Recipients likewise can call the message center to hear the recorded message. Messages may be up to 30 seconds in length, and are maintained for 8 hours.
