The World Wide Web is transforming itself from a static 2-D infobahn into a flexible medium for interactive experience. The WWW, having grown out of the Internet as a vehicle for information delivery, is now growing up, becoming a vehicle for expression. Although there have been myriad sites which document art, there have been very few sites which function as art.
Having been involved in the realm of art and technology for many years, both as a curator and an artist, I am pleased that aesthetic inquiry on the Web is now being supported.
