Tojinzumo is the only large-scale repertoire of Kyogen, which every Kyogen act or wants to play. Though our Kyogen-performances was favored by many people in many countries, I was wondering if Kyogen could be a real global entertainment. What I wanted to present to the world was the performance that was surprising and could show what Kyogen really is. It is so difficult to produce Tojinzumo because we had to solve many kind of problems, but the difficulty did not discourage me. I wanted to introduce this amazing performance to the world at any cost.
