The New Script Mannojo rewrote the script of Tojinzumo completely. To do it, he formed a team and made every effort to know what Tojinzumo originally was. The main reference material was the old script in "Tensho-Kyogenbon (a book of Kyogen stories written in 16th century), which has only ten lines. In addition, Mannojo studied different scripts and ways to produce of different schools (including his own school) for a half year and integrated them.
SOUND PLAY(aif)01	"Toin (A Nonsense Chinese Language)" In Tojinzumo, everyone except a Sumo-wrestler and a translator speaks nonsense Chinese language called "Toin". Because the traditional Toin is random and incomplete, Mannojo reorganized it and filled up missing parts with real Chinese words. The Toin Mannojo has made is grammatically correct Chinese language that doesn't make any sense. The text used in songs was also written in Toin by a student of Peking University (real Chinese!!). It includes a phrase that means "It doesn't make any sense" in Japanese.
	Sumo Filled With Acrobatics Ten styles of Sumo-wrestling such as "Kobushinage", "Sugidachi", "Matsubagaeshi", "Fukichiri" and "Mukade" are used in Tojinzumo. "Mukade" is the style used at the end of the wrestling scene, in which more than 20 people link together and walk like a centipede. The amazing thing in the wrestling scene is that it is filled with spectacular acrobatics!!
	The New Costumes Mannojo made his original costumes for Tojinzumo. He studied the gorgeous Tojinzumo costumes Toyotomi Hideyoshi ordered in 16th century (which are designated as important cultural properties), data on "Karusan (Chinese ancient costume)", the history of Chinese clothes and many other materials to do it.
SOUND PLAY(aif)02 SOUND PLAY(aif)03	The Music Mannojo cooperated with Isso Yukihiro (a player of Japanese classical pipe) to compose the music for Tojinzumo. Mannojo explained to Isso what kind of music he wanted (the explanation was based on Mannojo's research). Isso wrote music according to Mannojo's explanation. The music were modified to be synchronized with the action in the play. They repeated this procedure several times. In Mannojo's Tojinzumo, not only musicians but also actors play musical instruments including "Yonbyoshi (standard four instruments for Kyogen: a pipe, big and small hand drums, and a big drum)" and Chinese instruments such as "Kuretsuzumi (a drum)", "Dobyoshi (copper cymbals)", "Nyubachi (small cymbals)", "Dora (a gong)" and "Rappa (a trumpet)". Besides, musicians act as well.
	Collaboration With Chinese People Mannojo introduced many types of acrobatics (doing forward and backward somersaults, climbing up a pillar, and so on) into the wrestling scene in collaboration with Chinese Kyogeki-actors. He took a long time to communicate with them and learn their action.
