Sorry that this Homepage contains documents only in Japanese. To translate these documents is not easy for us, nor have we any time.
This Homepage shows a variety of Japanese "Yokai". Sekien Toriyama, who is a painter lived in the Edo period, published the book of paintings. We refer to three of his paintings, "Gazu Hyakki Yagyo", "Hyakki Yagyo Shuui" and "Hyakki Tsurezurebukuro". (These are owned by the National Diet Library.) "Gazu Hyakki Yagyo" means the painting that 100 demons marching in the night.
The greater part of this Homepage are the simple adventures of "Yokai"(made of the Shockwave for Director) and the "Yokai" guide.
We cannot translate "Yokai" into English. "Yokai" is less horrible than the ghosts, less fleshly than the monsters, more substantial than the spirits and not so forceful as God. Some are good for man, others are bad.
Please forgive us if you cannot understand these documents... Have fun with the paintings of "Yokai"!!
