Hearing-Impaired and Looking For A Job

I am hearing-impaired.

Many companies reject me as a candidate during a job interview. They seem to discriminate me because they don't want a hearing-impaired candidate.

How can I solve this matter?

Rejected

Dear Helper says:

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time in securing a job. Sometimes, companies may not be ready to take you on for employment not because of your impairment per se, but rather they may not be equipped to accomodate a staff like you due to their lack of skills in communication (sign language).

However, the good news is that slowly but surely, more & more companies are opening their doors to persons like you. McDonald's, for instance employ persons who are hearing impaired to take orders over the counter. You may also like to contact BIZLINK, to see if they can help you with a job placement.

In the meantime, don't give up hope and continue to work towards finding a career for yourself. All the best!
