Dream Nexus

The world appears to be solid only between sleeps

An INTERNET 1996 WORLD EXPOSITION Event

What is Dream Nexus?

Welcome to Musée Psyché's August 1996 Special Exhibition and an INTERNET 1996 WORLD EXPOSITION event Dream Nexus. This exhibition is about connecting your dreams; connecting them with your reality, connecting them with someone else's, etc. By dreams we mean thoughts, visions, sounds and other experiences during sleep.

This exhibition has three parts:

Dream Exchange This is a simple CGI program to which you can submit your dream and receive someone else's. Share your dream with someone in the world. Make new dream friends. Submit as often as you can and practice creative dreaming.
Dream Log This is a journal of dreams by Kenji Saito, the director of this museum. He writes a detailed description of his dream everyday, with a rough drawing and/or a sound sketch of the dream if time allows.
Dream Link This is going to be a list of links to your dreams. Start your own dream journal at your site and submit the link to it. Recommend dream-related sites. This page starts as an empty list when the exhibition starts, and grows as you submit the links.

I do not have dreams. How can I participate in Dream Nexus?

Everyone has dreams. You just do not remember the dreams you had.

You can actually participate in Dream Nexus in order to remember your dreams. Dreams are like your friends. Let your dreams know that you care about them. Then they will answer to you. Start making records of your dreams even if you don't remember them at all. Be determined to do so by placing a pen and note pad on your bedside. Your first goal is to submit your dream at Dream Exchange. If you become confident in doing so at your will, why don't you start your own dream journal site and have it linked from Dream Link? This will set the basis for the exploration of your dreams.

How can I dream in a creative way?

"Creative Dreaming," a book by Dr. Patricia L. Garfield, describes the principles of dreaming in a Malaysian tribe:
