Installation of a provisional restaurant to the north of the Cascade ( later expands ).

Demolition of the Baroque domestic houses, which surrounded the half-circle-shaped forecourt. Replacement of the substructure of garden stairs designed by Lave from Herrenhausen Palace to the south of the Grotto. Construction of a glass foyer to the west of the Gallery Building by Arne Jacobsen.

Suggestion by chief minister Ernst Albrecht to reconstruct the Herrenhausen Palace.
