As the network manager for the MIT media lab, Jane Wojcik is responsible for design, implementation, and management of the fiber-to-desktop network which supports the MIT research staff's high-bandwidth application requirements. Dr. Wojcik has over 18 years experience in the high tech industry. Prior to joining the MIT media lab, she was most recently a Network System Engineer/Task Manager at BBN Inc., Cambridge MA, where she managed internet engineering under BBN's contract to support the Defense Data Network. Prior to that, Dr, Wojcik was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Suffolk University, Boston, MA. Dr. Wojcik holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences and a S.M. in Meteorology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.A. in Mathematics and Geology from Barnard College, Columbia University. |
