Hi Charlie, Carl Sorry for causing trouble, Charlie, but my intentions were entirely well intentioned. There was a widely circulated mail in the Internet, which said that Sun Microsystems would contribute $0.10 for each message received by santa@north.pole.org, and that a user could send MULTIPLE MESSAGES (emphasis mine). I therefore thought that there would be an automated program at the other end, which would keep a count of the number of messages received. I had no idea that there was a human receiver at the other end, in which case I definitely would not have sent more than one message. I hope this places my action in context. Thanks. -hari PS - Carl, talking of appropriate behaviour, I think using strong language over the telephone certainly does not constitute appropriate behaviour. I am really sorry I caused your organization a lot of trouble, but I do wish you had been more polite over the phone.
