Dear Mr. Malamud,
I sincerely apologize for the excessive amounts of mail sent from my machine to the santa@north.pole.org. At the time, I was under the impression that each message received by that address generated at $.10 donation to a food pantry for the homeless. Originally, many more than 1477 messages were intended to be sent. However, I soon realized that my machine was becoming way overloaded, as messages got bounced back and logged, that I had effectually mail-bombed my own machine as well, not to mention what must have been happening to yours. I killed the process. I have since learned that the whole "donation" theory is incorrect, and thus, my actions generated nothing but harm.
Again, I sincerely apologize for my truly thoughtless actions.
