Carl: Let me introduce myself...I'm Jeff Guide, the creator of the Holiday Gopher. I can certainly understand how upset you are concerning the WSJ article. I certainly wasn't happy either when I read the article. Although I wasn't mentioned by name, I did give the background story on the gopher. At NO time, did I mention your group. I was very familiar with your project and knew that the elves@northpole.org address was only open to accept reply letter ideas, not direct letters to Santa. Although it's certainly no consolation right now, your project address was my first choice for my gopher. Please accept my appologies for the mix up by the WSJ. With Delphi Management approval, I would like to work on the possibility of having a Delphi Valentines gopher with letters sent directly to Cupid and to girlfriends/boyfriends/husbands/wives via Email around the world. If you're amendable to this idea, I'd like to work with your group on it. The Delphi Public Relations firm has already expressed an interest in doing some positive PR on it if it's set up. I believe you are also located in Washington, DC. I am also. I work at the Library of Congress. If you are, perhaps we can meet directly to discuss your future projects that may result in a joint effort between companies. Once again, something always gets messed up, and I'm very sorry it happened. Hope to hear from you soon! Drop me a line or give me a call. Jeff Guide teledata@delphi.com 202-707-6530 (private line)
