[Thread Next] Re: Is Santa on the net?
Carl, The address "santa@north.pole.org" sounds excellent. I thought about how *I* would do an automatic reply type interface, I had no idea on personalising it apart from having a few randomly selected paragraphs from a large choice to make replies different (eg my 3 children would get suspicious if all their replies were identical). My thoughts were they would probably *borrow* my account to mail from, and sign their name at the end, but of course the automatic reply might end up starting "Ho ho ho, nice to hear from you Bryan.Dongray...", which would be even worse (obvious). The human touch does mean much more understanding goes into the content, and so the reply can be based on the sent message, eg Santa would see who really sent it. Maybe "*@*.pole.org" should all get processed the same way, as there are bound to be spelling mistakes, and a bounced mail could be depressing for the sender. I wonder what the response will be? How many Santas will be necessary to cope with the load? I know this is all finger in the air stuff, it'll be interesting, and great! Bryan.
