EDGAR is perhaps the greatest advance for the public that the secutities industry has experienced since the advent of the CRISP data base. It is finally a level playing field for individual investors. As a professional investor, I applaud the effort that has been undertaken. Corporations will save millions by electronic filing and investors will get timely information. The capital markets will benefit. Capital will be allocated in a more efficient manner as investors discover this data base.
