Khai Luuk Khuy

Khai luuk khuy ("son-in-law eggs") are not easy to make. First the eggs must be boiled, and then fried until the outside becomes brown and chewy. They are then cooked in a thick, sweet sauce and topped with golden-brown, crisp-fried shallots. Although most versions of this dish contain no meat, this one has been enhanced by adding slices of pork.
