Just a study, based on the tune from the classic Yes album "Fragile."
Hey, they won't mind... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
To our too-often ignored friends to the North...
performed for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. This is *not* your father's "O Canada!"
I took a piano arrangement in 4/4, jazzed it up in 6/8, and had fun with it.
"God keep our land... Glorious and free..."
Old reliable. Also done for a friend's wedding.
The 4-bar piano intro quotes Todd Rundgren's "For the Want of a Nail"
(from "Nearly Human") but the rest is mine. Check out Todd's latest - his Enhanced CD,
"The Individualist." As a fan once said, "Todd is the only person I trust with electricity."
Nice trumpet sound, no? Kind of like being at Westminster Abbey. Mighty Majestic.
