Ms. Otake, come back next year!

Otake fell down at 20km point from the start. Her pace was down because accelerator grip could not be fixed. On the way, the right steering bar of front got broken. Director Hirose, Takeda & Izawa spent 2 hours to repair. After that, they continued the race but they reached the goal at 2:30 A.M. on August 21. The machine was already impossible to run. She chose to retire by discussing with Director Hirose. (Already reported by Kuwayama)

(looking at Hakata starts to fix the Otake's machine)
irose: "What do you think of that?"
Otake: "glad."
Hirose: "glad? That's it?"
Otake: "..."
Hirose: "Don't you fix it? Did you tighten any spoke? Your machine is also a member, isn't it?"
Otake: "..."
Hirose: "It's enough, ah?"
Otake: "...Yes, it's enough."
Hirose: "Tell them it's enough."
This was the only, first and last order of the director.

Team IBM Director Hirose Takeda told me that why didn't we make Otake run complete race. We are now enjoying the rally even someone retired on the only first day. The machine is also the colleague of the Mongol rally. I know it is absurd to whip the broken machine. Otake has experienced great things this year. Good job, Ms. Yuko Otake, come back next year? I am so hasty.
