Konishiki-san,
Haven't written an a few weeks, hope all is well. I had the chance to finish reviewing my video tapes of the last basho - particularly enjoyed your win over Terao. He's tough. Your kime-dashi really neutralized his thrusting. Nice going. I was wondering, since you do not know who your next opponent will be until the day before (neh?) are you able to view tapes of his last match (sort of like american football teams do)? How do you prepare otherwise? Also browsed the photos in your album, finally saw one of you with your wife-san. You looked like you were in heaven. She must be a special lady, to make Konishiki so happy! I also request a small favor. When I visited Japan in 1971 for the World Boy Scout Jamboree in Asagiri Heights, I had a chance to put on a mawashi and do sumo against a real rikishi. I do not remember his name, or any details, but I would like to find out who is was and thank him and the Sumo Kyokai for my introduction to Sumo. It was great! I look forward to seeing you in the January basho. Hope you have a great Christmas. Peace.
