ĦĦĦĦA large-scale electronics shopping street, where various electronics parts and computers are sold, was established in the former Yongsan Vegetables and Fruits Market in Han-gangno 2-ga, Yongsan-gu. It was planned and built to accomodate an increasing number of customers with cars, because the customers who used the shops on the Sewun Shopping Street in Ch'onggyech'on had difficulties due to lack of parking as shops there increased in number. In the Yongsan Chnja (Electronics) Complex, about 3,000 shops are gathered in Chonja Land as wonics parts, the 2nd floor for broadcasting eqequipment and audio systems, and the 3rd and 4th floors for computers and their peripherals.

ĦĦĦĦAt the Wonhyo group, which is in buildings No. 4 and 5, lighting fixtures and parts for electronics and electric products are sold. The Computer Wholesale group of buildings No. 6 and 7 sell computers and their peripherals and develop their own software. The Sonin group, in buildings No. 21 and 22, sell electric-product parts and electronic products from the 1st to the 3rd floors of both buildings, and computers and their peripherals on the 4th floor of both buildings.
The Najin group, which stretches from buildings No. 10 through No. 20, sell lighting ators, and various game players.
The shops here use parts imported from Japan and Taiwan much more than domestically manufactured ones. The products sold here are varied, so that customers can find what they want at lower prices than normal market prices.
After-sales services are provided for the products sold here. The computer shops are frequented largely by white-collar workers and students who want to buy new products or copy diskettes. For the computers purchased here, shop personnel provide installment service. The shops in this area offer bargain sales once or twice a year at up to 30% lower prices than normal ones.
