    Shindangdong "Ttokbok-ki" Alley

Literally translated, "ttokbok-ki" means panbrolled "ttok" or rice cakes are part of Korea's traditional cuisine, and are the equivalent to bread for Koreans.
There are different types of rice cakes, differant ingredients, sweet and salty, white, pink or green, and they are used to decorate banquet tables(i.e.,first birthdays). Nobody is certain, but people startedto use plain white "ttoks" to cook.
They add hot chile pepper sauce, sugar, vegetable,s and meat, and cook them all togetherin a deep pan. Since it is a very spicy dish, you might want to ask them not to put too much hot sauce when ordering.

To try the most famous"ttobokki" in town, go to Shindang Subway Station and exit toward the fire station. Prices range fome 1,000won to 1,500won for a single serving.
