Designated as a national park in 1975, Mt. Odaesan consists of many peaks, such as
Pirobong (1,563 m), Horyongbong, Sangwangbong, Mt. Tongdaesan and Turobong.
The national park is divided into the Mt. Odaesan, Pang-adari, Pyongnae-ri,
Mt. Hwangbyongsan,Nae-myon, and Sogumgang areas.
The 10 km area from Wolchongsa Temple,through Sangwonsa Temple and to
Chokmyolbogung
contains numerousvalleys, thick fir tree forests and shrubs.
The Songumgang area isjust as stunning.
