TV

In 1961 ,the beginning of Korean TV broadcasting began with 'the Korean Broadcasting System' 1981 saw the color TV program being delivered in every Korean house. Nowadays, Koreans have two national networks -KBS, MBC, and five privates broadcasting stations - SBS, KBS, DBS, BBS, and another is DBS. There is also an educational broadcasting TV program.

  • RADIO

    Radio broadcasting began in 1927 under the Japanese government. Today, Korea has various Radio stations such as KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS, CBS, FEBC, PBC, BBS, and TBS. KBS has about 20 different local radio stations.




    CATV

    There are approximately 30 different cable TV programs and a good number of local cable TV stations in Korea. Cable TVs were begun in 1.March.1995.
