Slogan of the Seoul APEC
S&T Minister's Confernece
The Seoul Conference desires to have a
slogan which reflects its vision for and the
spirit of APEC S&T cooperation toward the
21st century. Currently Korea is soliciting
suggestions and recommendations on the
slogan through the INTERNET (http: //l34.
75.198.3). For example, a slogan may
express the concept of the Seoul
Conference's playing a bridging role in facilitating
S&T cooperation among the member
economies and promoting common
prosperity for the future of the Asia-Pacific
region. Any interested person may give his/
her idea to the Secretariat for the Seoul
APEC S&T Ministers' Conference.
At the WGIST Ad-hoc Task Force
Meeting in Seoul on March 26. 1996, it was
agreed that Korea would select and
circulate recommendations to the member
economies before the July workshop.
The winner selected in September will be
awarded an all-expenses-paid trip for two,
including roundtrip air fares and hotel
expenses for two weeks, to the destination of
any APEC member economy.
