Yosakoi Possiblities
You just have to come to Kochi and see the the Yosakoi Festival! There's no doubt that many who come will be graced by hot summer fantasies: "I'll make my own team and participate", "Maybe I could start a Yosakoi Festival in my own town!?". With your help, we aim to make Yosakoi known throughout the world. Individual and groups (corporations, offices, etc.) are greatly welcomed to participate. Yosakoi Dance outside of Kochi Prefecture
Okayama Momotaro Festival (April)
220 dancers perform the Momotaro Dance and then ascend to the stage for the Yosakoi.
Takarazuki Family Land (August in Hyogo Prefecture)
0 dancers perform with Family Land visitors.
Ginza Festival (October in Tokyo)
Since 1971, with currently more than 100 people taking part.
Midosuji Parade (October in Osaka)
Since 1985. Over 100 dancers from Osaka and Kochi. Human-powered wagon.
Maebashi Festival (October in Gunma)
Since 1994, over 100 dancers and traditional, dancer-drawn wagon.
Kakegawa Festival (November in Shizuoka)
Since 1994, 40 dancers perform Yosakoi at the castle base.
