ハウステンボスのカウントダウン ショーは、今年からはひとつのテーマで21世紀まで行う予定です。 テーマは「夢と希望に満ちた新世紀をめざして」です。 今、世界は希望を見失っているような気がします。 世界では、勉強がしたくてもできない子供もたくさんいます。戦争で親を無くした子供もたくさんいます。予防接種を受けられずに、病気になる子供もたくさんいます。飢えで苦しんでいる人や、内戦で悲しく辛い生活をしいられている人もたくさんいます。 しかし、良くも悪くも、日本では、世界が抱える諸問題に関係なく生活することができます。 日本には、平和な日常が何の努力も必要とせず存在してます。 そんな日本だからできることがあります。 それは、世界中の人が集まって一緒に「お祭り」をやることです。 21世紀を迎える2001年には、世界中からアーティストが集合するような「お祭り」にしていきたいと考えています。 まず今年は、シンガポールから 「ナジフ・アリ」が参加します。 アジアの人たちと、世界の人たちと、音楽を通じて夢を語れたらと考えています。 今、ハウステンボスでは、今年のカウントダウンショーの実施に向けて、21世紀をこんな100年にしたいとか、21世紀にはこんな事が出来たらいいな、などの「21世紀へのメッセージ」をインターネットでを募集しています。 ぜひ、メッセージをおくって下さい。 |
From this year until the 21st century the Huis Ten Bosch Count Down Show will have one single theme; Towards a new century full of dreams and hopes. Recently it seems as if the world has lost its hope. All over the world there are children that are unable to go to school, even although they want to go. There are also a lot of children that have lost parents in wars. Lots of children become ill because they can't get vaccinated. And people suffer from starvation or civil wars. In Japan however, we can live our lives without those problems that trouble so many people around the world. Here we live in peace, without having to do anything for it. Because of this, there is something we are able to do overhere: we can invite people from around the world and enjoy a party together. In the first year of the 21st century, 2001, we would like to do just that: have a festival that gathers people from all over the world, to convey their dreams through the medium of music to the people of Asia and the rest of the world. This year we take the first step towards this goal by inviting Najip Ali from Singapore. At this moment, as we near this year's Count Down Show, we invite you to give us your message for the 21st century over the Internet. Tell us how you would want the next hundred years to be, what you would like to happen. Be sure to let us know! | |
