The Telecommunications Access Advisory Committee
Under the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (PL 104-652), the Architectural
and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (now commonly referred
to as
the Access Board) was charged
with developing guidelines
for
telecommunication equipment and customer premises equipment.
In order to
assist them in this process, the Access Board has
convened a
telecommunication advisory committee. The committee
will meet for
approximately six months, and then provide recommendations
to the Access
Board regarding the development of accessibility
guidelines.
