Portfolio of Universal Design
Examples

The portfolio will provide on-line examples, including descriptions, pictures, and videos of products to help provide a broader range of information and experience to universal designers. Particular emphasis will be placed on before and after, good versus bad, and developmental sequences to help designers gain insight into what separates restrictive from flexible / adaptable design and to provide some insight into the thought process in developing products. These examples will be part of the various design tools and areas listed above. For convenience, they will also be brought together here so that designers can more easily look at how universal design principles are applied across different types of technology. This project is just beginning. To suggest materials or designs for this area, send an email to portfolio@trace.wisc.edu.
